Re: Need IT Help
Well if you were running a RAID0 stripe and ONE disk broke, the other should be fine (or as fine as a disc that old can be!). So test the drives independently and just go to one disk for now.
You can get an 80Gb disk for like 30 to 50 bucks if you wanna go new!
here, Ultra ATA 133, 80Gb. 37 bucks.

Soy, the other disc when plugged in by itself seems to work but when I upload from my recovery disc it loads all files then when it gets to the part where I hit enter to load windows it dosen't recognize my keyboard so windows wont load. I have unplugged and plugged the keyboard back in but it still wont recognize it. Also if I'm gonna buy a new hard drive I might as well wait and see if I have enough money left out of my tax check to buy a new one(if it ever gets here). I was hoping to get this one back online till that happens.

Re: Need IT Help
Its possible that the raid just broke. I had this happen more than once. It sucks its going back to a blank drive. Thats why I'm not a big fan of raid zero. The so called performance enhancement does not seem to be there and the raid can break. If your keyboard is down and there is a chance these are associated maybe your bios is failing. Maybe battery. Set your bios to load defaults and check the keyboard.

Below that it reads Unpartitioned space 114471 MB
That's where I'm suppose to pick one of the three above Enter, C or F3 but the keyboard dosen't work at this stage to pick one and this is were I'm stuck at.

Re: Need IT Help
Raid arrays are configured in the bios. I wouldn't think its necessary to disconnect the actual drive but to look for the settings to disable the options. This will allow both drives to be connect and allow you to run a diagnostic on them. There are also bootable programs that you can download to allow you to run system checks that don't require a OS to be loaded. You might want to consider running one of them. Don't have both keyboards connected while trying to install windows as it looks like its freaking its self out... (winblows)
