I have seen the light. Trigger is right. If someone cannot afford a nice enough rig to maintain 200 fps on CS:S, they do not deserve to be playing games. They should be out working harder. They should get a second or even third job and save enough money to buy the latest and greatest. Plus, I do not think those working stiffs with families should be allowed on the same server as me anyway. I mean, what will my neighbors think if they knew I was actually associating with someone from that side of the tracks. I have to cut this post short though. I need to drive down to the marina in my Cadillac and make sure the hired help is cleaning the barnacles off of my yacht. See you at the country club

I knew something like this was coming...granted I didnt pin gumby as the culprit. Anyways, that's basically what I was getting at. Not everyone can drop $1000+ on upgrades every 6 months - 1 year.

I am constantly improving and toning my Photoshop skills in hopes of one day becoming a graphic designer or at least hold a position in a similar field.

So, I was wondering if this forum has any graphic designers? And if not by profession, than by hobby?

My latest image is our clan's banner...so far I would say it's my best work but I can always improve!

Did it professionally for a couple years... moved to network engineering... now programming... Kind of an all-around guy here.

Nah. Haven't done much of anything in recent years except the odd sig here and there like the one I use now. And that was a 15 minute slap-it-together kind of thing.

Your composition is decent. Only suggestions I would say is that it feels a bit "lopsided"... 2/3 of it is in one color overall, and the left third is in a different color entirely. I would have probably evened it out a bit or placed more blacks and blues to the right as well for balance. And the text kind of gets lost in the background because it's the same color for the most part. But other than that... looks good.

I can only say as far as advice is to go to graphics design websites. Study what other people are doing at the top of the game and try to emulate their styles. Even if your style is radically different, try to emulate other people's styles for practice. It will give you insight into how others do things.
