The whole point of buying a video card is to play games from last year on up. This card won't do that effectively.

If it's just for Office type apps or surfing the web then it's just fine.

You have no idea what you are talking about... that card will run the BF series, Source, tons of MMORPGs, RTS games including Company of Heroes and C&C 3... etc. If someone is using shitty onboard but wants a cheap upgrade, this will work just fine.

Upgrading from a 7600gs to a 7800GT is quite significant. If I was low on funds, I would do it.

If someone else is better off with this card than without it, then why not?

Anybody who plays those games doesn't use onboard video. It's dumb to buy a card from 2 years ago and it's dumb to endorse such a decision. All you're doing is setting yourself up for disappointment.

I got no problem with his 'business' decision to sell his card. He wants to make a profit. But I'm siding with the consumer on this one. I say to them go mow a couple of lawns and get the 8800GT. You will thank yourself later.

a $50-$75 7800GT is a tremendous value. it will be much faster than many brand new retail cards that are more expensive.

2 years ago it was. You buy this card and 1 year from now you will regret it.

It's 2008, if you can't put togther $180 you should'nt be playing computer games.
