What are your computer specs right now? Maybe you could use that 600 dollars for solid upgrades. I def wouldn't buy that system. If you are willing to spend 600 dollars on that comp, then wait a little longer and save some more money and invest in something that will be worth your while for some years to come.

True that Tony. 600 will get you this:
http://techreport.com/articles.x/14610/2
Component Item Price
Processor Intel Pentium E2180 $69.99
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L $89.99
Memory 2GB Kingston DDR2-800 $38.99
Graphics EVGA GeForce 9600 GT $149.99
Storage Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB $74.99
Samsung SH-S203B $26.99
Audio Integrated $0
Enclosure Antec NSK 4480 w/380W PSU $69.99
Total
$520.93
which will run nice circles around that acer thing. I guess you would still need a monitor but say use your current HD, and yu can probably get a nice 20inch WS monitor without going much over 600

unless you have a really good reason not to, I would suggest building it yourself. I didn't know much about computers, but built my own last year. it is fun, educational, and gives you a great sense of pride when you click the "my computer" icon.
