Is the 9800Gtx worth spending the extra $100 vs the 8800gt?

and why go with a 750i board if he isnt going to overclock or go sli? matter of fact if you get a 750i board then you should go all the way and get a quad core cpu to overclock it. And the 9800gtx i have yet to read about. All i hear is that there's no point in getting the 9 series cause it doesnt much more than the 8 series for more.

I can't speak for the 9800, or future games, but I have an 8800gt, and i can play every game TTP hosts with max everything. Just my 2 cents, and I will let those smarter than me take back over now.

I don't entirely agree with you Hocus Pocus. I've bought the more expensive motherboard in the past just so that I can possibly put in the nicer CPU in the future, or have room for more ram. I'll buy the more expensive motherboard just for stabilitys sake. I'll buy the more expensive video card so I don't have to upgrade in 6 months. There is a lot of truth behind you get what you pay for. Just my 2 cents.

Don't really have a preference Jason, just want the most bang for the buck right now.

Main game will be CSS, of course

, but will probably try a couple more, cod4 maybe.
