VGA Cooling: Accelero S1

Anyone need some VGA cooling love? This thing rocks.

Stock cooling on my 8800 GTS 512 had it at 48 degC idle, 68 full load. Kind of loud, though.

Accelero S1, no shit, cools this card *passively* better than the stock active cooler. 40 deg idle, 63 loaded. Then I popped in the turbo module fan add-on, and full load temp drops to 54 deg. Now I just need to figure out how to OC the card- I know it'll take the heat.

How much does it cost? And is worth the 10 % (at best) overclock (overkill-perk?) that you will get?

Not the *best* out there, but damn close. And if you look at the reviews, definitely the best value.

I actually wanted it for the quiet, too. Even if I don't OC it, it's a nice unit. I may take the fan back out- It's a nice and quiet, my case flow is definitely good enough to cool without it.

did your stock cooler not do as well?

The stock on the ATI 3870 works just fine.

I use ATI tool to kick the fan speed up to 80% and it stays around 55c underload.
