Oh yeah, he promotes this whole high and mighty Apple lifestyle, how supposedly Mac users are better, cooler, and hipper than PC users. How microsoft is and evil company and windows is so broken its hardly usable. But what does he go and do, adopt their business tactics.

I DO NOT FUCKING WANT SAFARI ON MY COMPUTER, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. DO NOT FUCKING ADD IT TO MY UPDATE LIST EVERY TIME I FUCKING UPDATE ITUNES. I DON'T WANT IT. FIREFOX WORKS FINE. IN FACT, I DON'T EVEN WANT ITUNES!!! As soon as Songbird gets good Ipod support I am so fucking done with Apple. In fact, I may go buy a Zune. Just reiterate my rage.

This is why I turned off iTunes' auto-update function a loooong time ago. Er, actually, I turned it off when it started making more of my music unplayable. Now I'm just extra glad I did.

I bought meself a Creative Zen after moomaster recommended it, I'm quite happy with it... more file types... no itunes... etc.
I can't stand Itunes, it's a major resource hog.

Well, the only reason I have an Ipod is because my sister bought a mac and got a free 1st gen Nano. As such I bought if off her for like 30 bucks.

Apple is just a smaller version of an evil empire. They force OS upgrades more often than MS to keep up with current software. Even the iPod requires newer and newer versions of their OS.

Microsoft gets spanked for trying to include the ability to create PDF's in Office 2007. It's included in the Mac OS.

They lock their OS down to their own hardware. At one point, they allowed others to make Apple compatible computers. They were faster and cheaper. Apple stopped allowing it.

I actually like Apple but they certainly aren't the angels that most people portray them as.

yeah, my bothers zen is pretty cool, and I bought my ipod cheap too.

My dad is a huge mac fan. when I was building my computer he actually suggested that I buy a mac, and waste power on it by dualbooting with windows (completely pointless).
I'm annoyed about safari too, why does he think hi pos browser is better than firefox?

Well, even though I'm not as much of a Apple advocate as Cecil believes me to be, I do like some of there products.

Personally, I use iTunes, Safari, Quicktime and i have owned 2 iPods and currently own an iPhone. I find Safari to be a nice simple program, it has some useful features that i use. I use iTunes, simply because it is simple, it does what i need it to do and it does it well. I still own my 2 previous iPods, they still work and have survived quite a bit of abuse. I personally think the iPhone is the phone of the future, all phones in the future will follow what it has created.

As for Cecil's keystone of DRM on Apple products, there are MANY ways to LEGALLY remove DRM from Apple media. I use Apple products, and I like them, let me stress the "I". Everyone likes what they like. Further more, people need to realize with out Apple keeping Microsoft in check they would be even higher on how much there shit does not stink.

I use Apple products, yet what operating system am I on right now? Windows FTW!!! :9

Apple (or any company that uses proprietary connectors) can go fuck themselves also. Give me a damn USB so I can use one of my 50 cables floating around the house and work.
