    Time to upgrade...again

Well it's time to cave in to the impulse of upgrading the computer. Why you ask? Because I want to game on my 37" 1080i H/D LCD TV.

    I currently have an Intel E6750 and a Gainward 1GB 8800GT. I will soon have an E8500 (goin' for 4+Ghz) and a Club3d 9800GX2.

So this means I will be selling these parts for a song and some cash. I currently live in France as some of you know so perhaps some of the European TTP people might be interested.

Anyone who's interested can post here. I will of course post the 3DMark06 results this weekend for massive epeen viewing pleasure.

your 37 inch should only be pushing 1920x1080 MAX resolution which a single 8800gt should be able to do fairly easily in most games though you might not be able to push AA up as high as you would like.

I game at 1920X1200 with an older 8800gts 640mb card with very little problem. You should be able to use that system and your TV without upgrading anything.

If you want get one of the newer 9800 vidia cards or go with an SLI solution, but really your PC is fully capable of running everything TTP hosts at 1920x1080.

Well I'm not looking to just get by. I want everything maxed out (16AAx16AF) and want some future proofing to boot. An 8800GT would struggle with that.

Your probably not going to want to do 1080i since it's interlaced. 720p would be preferrable for gaming.
