mobo and hard drive question
So I ordered a new mobo and new graphics card. Will I have to format and erase everything on my hard drive when I install the new mobo?
Last time I put in my mobo, I had to delete everything off my hard drive so I could get rid of all the old mobo drivers and shit.
Is there anyway to install my new mobo without having to delete my whole hard drive and starting from scratch?

Re: mobo and hard drive question
Whenever I make a new build from a new mobo, I reformat everything just to keep clutter down and avoid any problems.
Just save your desktop, favorites, documents and media. This is way easier with two HDDs; put your new OS on one and then put your other drive in and copy everything you want over to the new drive.

If it's XP and it doesn't have the same IDE controller, it may blue screen if you change motherboards. Or it may not.
I always take the opportunity to reformat and begin anew when replacing hardware like that. Gets rid of the clutter just like SoyS said and it also makes sure that there aren't any hardware driver issues.
