Thread: Tech guys HELP!?!!

My comp is having trouble starting up. it began 3 days ago. i would hit the buttin and walk off, and when i came back it would be off? so i would try again and it would start up. until tiday i thought it was a coidedence or that the button was sticking. but today it did it over and over again. even when i used to power button on my mobo. i thought maybe heat. but once it starts its fine and this happens when cold in the morning so thats out i think. and no other problems. any ideas?

That sounds exactly like what happened to mine when I was doing an overclock. If the settings get messed up in the BIOS it will just start up and turn off right way. You could try reseting your com memory, usually a jumper on your motherboard. If you haven't messed around with the BIOS though thats not going to help.

well i just got back up. i am almost certain it was my mobo. it was my first custom build and i think when i first installed the mobo, i did damage that is just now catching up with me. i have a backup mobo but i fried it trying to use my bigger power supply to power it. so i had to replace the mobo and got a badass 650W antec power supply. freaking silent. anyways 15 hours bent over my two cases and 300$ later i am up and running and hopefully done for a while. :P
