how to play with my Joystick????????

I got ST290 pro. It is a USB and is OK on the Configuration process.When I go to play BF2 I get in the jet and throw the throttle and it just site there.What should I do

I use the same stick. What do you mean by you throw down the throttle and it just sits there?

I mapped that paddle at the base to the throttle and it works perfectly... I have gotten a feel for the sweet spots on it.

The thin moving part behind the stick.The one that is your throttle.When I put it up all the way the plane don't even move the throttle or the plan goes.Even the acceleration to make a sound.

You went to the controls configuration and mapped the throttle rudder to the throttle under the aircraft controls?

Should work unless the stick is broken...

Did you try plugging it into another USB port maybe?

No because when I plugged it in (in the front) and I pull the Cofinguration up it was working I moved it in a circle and the + was going in a circle.

No, I dont mean the calibration software, but in BF2, under:
options-->controls-->aircraft-->(set all these buttons to what you want your stick to do)

I set the twist for roll, forward/backward to nose down/up, left/right..left/right, and use the hat to switch camera views.

Yeah I wish!

Seriously though, it does not automatically use the stick. If you go to the control options in BF2 you can enter them (You will see they set to "joy axis 0" or 1 or 2, etc. And the buttons are "joy button 0", and 1, and 2, etc.)
