    Wii WiFi problems

Error 52132 is the error given to me by my Wii when I try to make a connection wirelessly to my router. It has something to do with my routers firewall, but as far as I know I've turned it off. I've tried doing it manually and it still doesnt work. Has anyone else had this problem with their wii?

I do, except I use the WiFi USB Connector.
All I can do to fix it is completely reinstall my USB connector, although that wouldn't help you out.

I think this would probably be better off in the PC forum

    Re: Wii WiFi problems

I've had problems when linking routers/modems.

Is your system set up with a direct wireless connection to your modem router then to your pc?

If there's another step in there, like wireless router to modem to pc, you may have turned off a firewall in one place and not another?

    Re: Wii WiFi problems

I have a modem that connects to the router, that connects to my PC. Whenever it is setup like this, the internet wont work on my PC, even though it says it's connected at 100 Mbps.

The wii recognizes the router and even says it has a great connection, but I get that stupid error code. My firewall on my router is turned off, password protection is disabled. I even tried something with port forwarding but it still wouldn't work properly. I dont think this matters, but I even tried turning my PC firewall off, still nothing. I may just have to get the LAN adapater.

FYI, you may already know this, but the wii has it's own built in wireless receiver or what not.

I'm confused. This sounds like a pretty normal setup, signal from wall -> modem -> router -> PC, and you are saying the connection on your PC doesn't work? If it doesn't work on your PC why are you surprised it doesn't work on your Wii? How do you use the internet if it doesn't work?

Without knowing more about your network setup, try looking at the advice on this page: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc...5&action2.y=31

What router are you using and what encryption is in place?

I'm not surprised it isnt working on my wii. I wanted to know why it wasnt working on my wii (as well as my computer). The internet works when I hook the modem straight to the PC, but once I put the router in between them, I can't get to anything internet related (even though it tells me the connection is great).

It's a linksys (which may be the problem ) and I'm not sure about the encryption. I'll check out that website and see if that helps.

Deus, I've actually already looked over that link. Good find, but it didnt help me much. Basically tells me the obvious and if that doesnt work contact my ISP (which is ComCrap.....most worthless ISP ever). I'll see what I can figure out.

Not sure what it's trying to do that your router isn't happy about. If you don't know about the encryption, then ya probably don't have any.
