    New Graphics Card.

    Hey Everybody.
I've been talkin' to people on TTP (in game and out) about my current graphics card and possible upgrades. My current is an nvidia GeForce 7300 - in other words: a PIECE. Well, my price range is extremely low, like, 50 bucks kinda thing. Currently im looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121094

Its cheap, powerclocked to 8600, and ASUS is a trustworthy brand.
Before I go beg the parents for this - anyone have any better suggestions?

I would go with either one of these. They will both out perform the 8500 GT for the same price.

    Radeon HD 2600XT
    GeForce 8600 GT

i agree with Cecil, when imo when a 7 series costs more then an 8 series card, you know something isn't right with the low end 8 series.

also is it a 7300 GS or GT? I have the GT and it should be able to run most games still, just not at high settings (course i doubt the 8600 or 8500 would either)

Rudy I have a 7900Gx2 that I don't mind parting with with as long as my 9800 works ok once I get it within the next few days. I usually get 40 - 120 fps depending on the situation (Avg probably 75).

Just send me your address offline when you get a chance, and I'll send it to you for free.

I know it's tough getting game components when you're younger and do not have a job, so this is just a friendly TTP gift! It's all about giving so no worries.

Use your 50 bucks and get a Razer Death Adder mouse!

That has to be one of the most thoughtful gestures I have seen, you should be quite proud of yourself.
This is why the community at TTP is one of the best. Bravo to you.

PCIe I believe. But I'll check to make sure tonight. If you cannot use it on your mother board. Then just sell it on ebay - they are going for about $100-$150. So that should be enough to get a new card that will work with your system.
