Need help...

Alright, so last night I was browsing these forums and another game's forums, something I do regularly, and I had my iTunes on. Next thing I know, one forums froze, I go to these forums and they end up freezing, I go to my start menu - freezes, and out of nowhere my mouse freezes. All in all, everything was frozen. I couldn't move a damn thing.

My only thought was to restart my PC. Now, all was working good. Then I get this random screen. If I recall correctly, it said "AMI Security" or something with a big red house and the url at the bottom of it. But all it was doing was reading my hardware and it disappeared. As it continued loading, it went to the login screen as usual. Then instead of my login, it changed the resolution and it says at the bottom, "Ask for Genuine Microsoft software." "This copy of Windows must be activated." "Windows must be activated to be eligible for the full range of upgrades and product support from Microsoft."

Any ideas on what I should do. I'm off my PC and games until I can get it fixed...

My gut instinct says this is malware/spyware that's trying to disguise itself by emulating the Windows Product Validation warnings. Are ya running IE or Firefox for your normal browsing?

Thanks for the quick response, Dues.

And yeah, I'm using Firefox as my default browser.
