ATI vs Nvidia

I was always a Nvidea guy but on my latest build I tried an ATI 4870.All I can say is freakn WOW.Max settings on my games with great FPS.

for graphics cards you cant beat the Nvida e-GeForce 9800 GTX+ Superclocked edition. its a freakin brick!!!!! takes up 2 slots on the back of case. I got Squeaky and Ruuky practically drooling over it.javascript:void(0); if ur going for detail, this is it. id suggest 4 gig memory too, makes it shinier.

You can beat the 9800gtx easily, the 280, 260, 4870 and even the 4850 trumps it pretty much across the board.

i wouldnt call it a trump. go figure ATI wins in most of the worthless test, but the gtx is just .4 looser on the most important test but then wins on the rest of the tests that matter for fps and gaming.

its like basketball you win lots of games but loose the ones that matter most.

they are booth good cards. ATI wants the perfect card, weres vida says fuck it, lets just do what needs to be done well.

Man I have never been happier than I am with my 4870. You can get a bad ass deal on them right now at new egg. If you are going to buy one go through TTP link to new egg that way TTP can get some cash 2. Also if you can call Newegg and get the customer sev and get another $25 off the price of your card.

Well i have owned the 4870x2 and the evga 280. and JASON i hate to say it, BUT as far as CSS and TF2 goes the 280 did a better job for ME. to many issues with the x2. In css it messed up all the time. White lines and blocks in the sand. installed new drivers and still nothing. and also on css maxing the x2 out would make it crash, i even turned the fans up to 75%. now for the 280 maxed the fuck out and vert sync on i get a solid 59, 60 fps. the x2 couldnt do it. for CSS on my rig the 280 worked better. the 280 worked better on far cry 2 and cod W@W. I got the 280 clocked at 709, stock it was 602. Like i said the 280 works best for ME.

The second machine(amd) now has a nvidia card in it. The only reason this happened is because the bro in law wants to game but that shit piece 8500gt is not cutting it for css. I hooked him up with the ATI 3650 so he can get a huge boost and play with better frames.

I will run 3dmark later on to compare it to the 3650.

This is a first downloading nvidia drivers..........
