Thread: New monitor !!

I just ordered my new monitor. The viewsonic VX2835WM; 27.5'' 1900x1200 800:1 LCD.
What do you guys think? Jealous? Did I make a mistake? Its not the best 27"+ out there, but sure as hell the best price. I paid $655 cdn for it including shipping. I've had a cheaper 32'' lcd before, 1366x768 500:1. Other than the resolution, it didn't bother me so I'm quite confident I'll be happy with this one. :6

Right on, I like the whole go big or go home mentality. I had a super huge monitor like that too, but my neck really started to hurt. Found that a 24" is the sweet spot for me. Regardless, congrats..

Yeah I don't even bother with U.S. sites for tech products because the savings can easily be absorbed by customs fees. Unless I'm saving over 100$ I wouldn't really bother, on an item like that I can get taxed GST 7% or 6%, maybe even PST. There was another canadian site that was going to charge me 755 in the end and my card was denied at the time, which saved me 100$ lol. I'm too stoked for this though, havn't had a big high res monitor since my 20'' CRT. I also am not a fan of mail-in rebates, way to much work for $50, considering what I'm buying. I never really had neck problems tho, only my eyes would get strained a lot, so I'd have to wear shades.
