    1080P LCD's

does andbody know of a 19-22" LCD that will display 1920 x 1080?

Reason I ask is my 17" notebook screen would do it and it looked sweet. Then I went to buy a desktop monitor and the smallest I could find in that resolution was 24".

    Thanks,
    Viper

I checked NewEgg and I couldn't find any 22" monitors with 1900x1080. You can get 1440x900 or 1680x1050.

That's strange b/c my Dell XPS laptop had a 17" screen at 1900X1080.

Here's the only mention of a smaller size screen with 1920x1080 res:

    BenQ E 2200HD LCD monitor

The E220 HD will have a 1920 x 1080 pixel full high definition content...because of its 21.5 inch screen size and full HD support.

    It also includes a 10, 000ne dynamic contrast ratio along with a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

This site is from India, not sure if it's even available in US.

BenQ 16:9 1080p Full HD LCD displays will be available in China and select countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America in Q3.

IM running an ACER 22" Its maxed out at 1650x1040 or whatever. Plenty of space. I can't imagine you would need more than that unless your running CAD and or a Design or Editing Program... If you want that much area... invest in 2 19" wides..... that would be.. 2880x900

Well if you HD Camcorder was native @ 1920x1080 then it would make sense to show it on same res screen without clipping.

I also have an ACER 22" @1600 x 1050. It's not a space issue, it's detail. The notebook display was much crisper in BF2. More pixels in the same screen area = better looking games. However when you step up to a 24" LCD the pixels get bigger to match the screen size so it kind of defeats the purpose.

Not really. The 24" has a greater intended viewing distance, and you ability to perceive detail over that distance drops, so the pixels end up being the same effective size, roughly. 1080p on something that small is grossly unnecessary. A lot of people sit too close to big screens... not only is it ineffective, it's bad for your eyes.

I understand that, I am often working 11"x17" 600DPI. Its massive and when I am setting type and or doing production layouts, it can suck. I dont know of a monitor big enuf for what I need (without going crazy). Honestly I have switched my tf2 from 1650x to 1440 and back to 1650 with little to no difference besides type / chatbox.

try this if you can swing it. They are IMO the best monitors out.
