How much Nvidia cares

I went to the Tf2 website to see what is going on and I see this. Goes to show that Nvidia does not care that Tf2 runs better on ATI. They will pay out the ass to make sure people see that Meant to be played logo.

Everyone who played Tf2 in the begining saw that in the in game menu for graphics it said best played on ATI.
Then one day after like 4 updates it was gone. I am sure we can all figure out why without question.

When they were making tf2 the hardware they were using was ATI and thats why it runs so well and looks the best.
Same goes for Crysis and nvidia.

Then not only did they take the ATI out of the ingame but they slapped the Nvidia logo on the Tf2 frontpage.

Lame.

Its called corporate advertising. Something NVIDIA has been doing for YEARS and i do mean YEARS. Since before you "came back" to PC gaming.

And Nvidia doesn't have control over how Valve codes the source engine, Valve has complete conrtol over the programing of the source engine.

Dont developers code their games around a certain GPU architecture though? I know Valve and Gabe Newell have always said that they write their stuff on and geared toward ATI units.

Id and John Carmack (sp?) do the same thing for nVidia.

Yes. And there are more who code their game engines around Nvidia then ATi.

So is Nvidia's. Thats no different then Mcdonald's or Ford advertising, even though they are the most recognized name in their industry.

It would be like KIA slapping their sticker on a NASCAR vehicle.

Thats why I say thats how much they care.

They will mislead the consumer to believe that nvidia runs better on the source engine when it is know ATI is the winner for that.
