Well, ive done a little testing, and realized my current sound card just isn't up to the task of Me Playing BF2142.
1.It will be used mostly for gaming, some music.
2.Windows XP, not sure the bit type (Any ideas where i can find that out?)
3.What does "MOBO" mean?
4. I just want something that will get the job done
And, i think my current one is "Realtek"....i think

MOBO=motherboard, we need to know what slots you have available for the card, i.e. PCI, PCI Express x16, PCI 2.0 Express...
You'll most likely be running 32bit XP. With XP you'll run great with a Creative X-FI Xtremegamer or Fatal1ty. Creative has the edge on sound cards but a lot of people are questioning that now, some going over to ASUS Xonar and looking for other manufacturers now, due to Creatives lack of adequate driver support especially within Vista.
Just be sure to check the slot type on the card and make sure your motherboard (MOBO) can support it.

I suggest the Xonar X2 it's nice. It doesn't suffer from some of the X-Fi problems in CoD4 and other new games.
