Suggestions for new Headset?

Well right now I have an Icemat Siberia headset..
I really love the sound but people say my mic isn't all too great
Thus I'm thinking of buying a new headset
What's the best I can get for under 100 bucks?
Anybody have any suggestions?

Look around on newegg and different sites to find the best price. They are $99 bucks on their sight but I found them cheaper somewhere else. They come in standard or usb, or you can check out their other headsets.

For gaming, I love em. I actually bought the usb type this time because I do not have a good sound card. (Waiting for the money on my next build.) I can hear lots of detail in gaming, footsteps, knife slashes, etc. Beware though, some people have run into problems with usb type headsets, but I heard good things about these so I took the chance.

For music, I am not really impressed. The volume for listen to music and the amount of bass is not very good to my standards in a headset.

They have a few to choose from in this link, just make sure when you are shopping around, that you are going to purchase the version 2 of the 5H series. The first version they had problems with.

when i asked this a couple months back i got plenty of suggestions for the sennheiser PC150 (and 151)

it has worked great for me. I actually put a computer ontop of it without paying attention and bent the mic way out of where its supposed to be and it still works :9

no doubt that the sennheiser is better, but for those close on $$, the improvment may not be worth the money diff

sennheiser PC150 will only run you about $40, there is no better bang for the dollar in gaming hardware.

my only con about the 5Hv2 is it has very brittle plastic.. i dropped it from my desk and it snapped in half.. well.. at the telescoping part

I think the usb on the 5vh2 is just a conector. 2 femal jacks on one end and a male usb on the other.

Not trying to thread jack but I have the 5H V2 with the usb and I use windows vista and the sound is crackly in the beginning of any sound on windows but when I load up a game and go to desktop everything works fine.

So would this be a headset issue or a soundcard issue OR a windows issue?
