my 8800 GTS 512 is working just fine on my 22" with max settings on BF2 2142 and CoD 4.

I had my 7800 GTs in SLI and saw very little improvement in speed from a single card. I have an 8800 GTS right now but honestly, if I was to buy another card the speed jump you get from the next generation always seems to significantly outperform the SLI of the previous.

Yea ok what planet do you live on.
You like to leave out keywords like if I turn on 8xAA 16xAF with my 8800gts while playing at 1920x1200 I will not be able to hold frames with vsync at 60fps.

You think I just bought all this computer stuff to show off the stickers?
I know what I need to run games at high res with AA AF and vsync enabled.

Ok I will give this to you.

Two cards is unnecessary if you dont want to run all the goodies and just run recommended settings.

Whats everyone's views on the screen type that has like a glare to it, or I think they call it 'Anti-Glare'. It's on a lot of the new screens and I'm just wondering if that affects your gaming in any way (distractions). Colors look a lot better on it and I was thinking about getting one with it. Of you who have it, whats it like compared to a regular screen?

Ok... I run at 1920 x1200 with 4 AA and 16 AF with a single 8800 GTS 640 for pretty much everything I have thrown at it.
Fallout didnt quite push 60 frames, but was entirely playable -
Farcry 2 ran like a champ with minimal tweaking in game settings...
    l4d? 8 x 16 with everything maxed without a hitch...

Happy now? Ya its definitely starting to get long in the tooth and I have been keeping an eye out for the right time to upgrade, but my 3 generation old 8800 is still kicking ass and taking names...

I love 1920x1200 its the only way to play some of these HD games.

Like syrringe said you will need two cards to get good frames.
I have to disagree.Im running a 4870 single card with all settings maxed and get awesome frame rates.I think dual cards unless they are the middle priced cards, dont really make much difference except for heat and bragging rights.Im playing on a samsung 22" and sometimes ill run my hdmi cable over to my 102" theater in HD.Gotta love that.

I definitely prefer my matte screen to a glossy screen. The glossies are for movies & pics (aka porn which we all know is immoral) also the screen border is less distracting if it's matte black rather than 'piano'.

I've run BF2 on my 51" LCD and a friend's 58" plasma via DVI and it's cool, but sitting closer to my 22" is better. I borrowed a long DVI cable for the TVs - you have to sit far away to actually see properly.

    22'' is not 1920x1200

There is a big performance drop when running maxx settings going from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200.
