    Logitech mouse

I've been gaming with a Logitech 518 mouse that has senstivity buttons that you can adjust "on the fly". Looks like the mouse may have died. What kind of mouse do YOU use/recommend?

Lookin to buy a new one.

    TIA

    Re: Logitech mouse

I use the Logitech G9. A much better mouse than I am a gamer; it'll do much more than I'm capable of. It is a different size and shape than the other Logitech gaming mice (even with the alternate grip), so I'd advise trying it before purchase if at all possible. I had no real problem adapting to the shape, though.

The actual mouse of the G9 is more useful I think what sold me on the G5 was the cord, it is coated with a smooth braided fabric and doesn't catch on things which is highly nescessary on my desk which I can hardly see.

I ordered a Logitech g5 last night. It should be in next week. I can't wait to see what that baby will do.

I too am looking into possibly getting a new mouse. I have about 3 years on my G5 (old style with only one button on the side). It still works like the day I bought it,but its getting kinda worn..and it would be nice as a "back-up". I have been nothing but happy with the G5,but,it would be stupid not to at least check out Razers line. So,thats what I've done. The new Razers seem to be a bit bigger than their mice from 3-4 years ago.Nice for someone with big hands. The only problem I see, is the way Razers handle the user profiles. I use all 3 settings on my G5.In BF2,I have a superfast setting so I can whip a tank gun around.I have one for normal infantry and one slow one for sniping.I shift these on the fly. From what I have read,Razers have a small delay when switching profiles, and don't have any kind of indicating leds to let you know what profile you are using.Am I wrong about this?

Either way, I am very happy with my G5.It has countless hours of gaming and everyday use and has never so much as burped. The setpoint software is easy as hell to use and updates itself..never had a problem, even with Vista 64.

    Re: Logitech mouse

    3 issues with the G9:

    1. mouse is actually fairly small
    2. I press the sides when gaming which sometimes accidently triggers the left side button (even though I'm not pressing on it)
    3. the larger oversert (whatever the second external case is called) is wearing on the sides (too much gaming apparently)

Other than that, I'm very happy with the G9. The Microsoft Sidewinder isn't worth the price. Tried it at work and the software was crap that came with it.
