So you want to have two CPUs? Not a dual core or quad core but two quad core processors on the same MOBO?

I want to do two dual core AMD's. I find having two to be better.

    Why?

I'm just saying that it isn't possible, not for under $250 and not for a computer that you build yourself (unless you have some computer certifications I don't know about)

The MOBO you are talking about is going to be built to run a server. Not a desktop. And it will be upwards of $500 if not $1000.

I find ahving two better for me. If i cant get a server mobo then ill resort to another idea. Just look for one somewhere and tell me the price and ill deal with the drama later. And its not going to be a server. Our new dell has two Intels 3.0ghz dual cores in it and its not made for beeing a server but for heavy heavy gamming and could be ran as a server.

Yes, INTEL has the Skulltrail system which is designed for the 'hardcore gaming' crowd. AMD has no such thing that I am aware of...

Or you could look it up yourself, just saying.

Tyan is the only manufacturer I know of that has put out an AM2 (Socket 940) board with 2 CPU sockets.

The model you are looking for is:

Tyan Tomcat n3400B S2925-E (nVidia nForce Pro Chipset)

Total waste if this is for a gaming rig. These are intended for servers.

Not to mention you would be using AMD Opteron CPUs, optimized for server usage.

More does not always equate to better. You'd likely be better off getting a gaming MOBO with one CPU...
