Well the 295 is faster than the 4870 X2, sometimes by alot and sometimes by less than a frame

Re: GTX 295 Released $510
We are getting well outside the power per dollar framework here... But they did have to turn it up a notch to squeeze out ATi again. At 100 bucks more.
I am sure ATi will retalliate soon...
My 8800 GTS 640's are still kickin'! Although I paid 392 bucks apiece ofr 'em :/ never again... one GPU < 350 from now on.

Big, expensive, and fast.
Like I told cecil last night on vent until Nvidia can put two gpu's on one pcp board then they will really compete. I looked at them open the card up on toms hardware and its the same old story. Two pcp boards smushed together in the black toaster box.
I am sure they are going apeshit trying to figure out how ati can put two on one without connectivity or overheating issues.
Good card, same stuff.

Re: GTX 295 Released $510
yeah.. I am reading the review right now. I am surprised it is not all in one die or two dies on one board.. two PCBs again it is. I bet ATi is getting a kick in the pants being partnered with AMD (the first dual core maker and an innovator in multi core generally).
I am psyched, in one of my systems science courses we have a computer using nVidia Tessla line GPUs.. not for graphics processing but for modeling complex systems. I think it is super cool that video games have yielded a such a powerful tool for science to use! :9 Keep buying 'em guys, you are getting your frag on and helping to shape the future of humankind all at once.
