    New Computer/Laptop

Soo I'm torn between getting a new gaming laptop and new rig...my price range is from around 1200-1300...for the rig thats not alot but when the summer comes around i can do some upgrades but for now i want the best i can get for that price range.

this is what im looking at for the laptop

for the rig i know custom comps can be better but i saw this stock one and its not bad

thoughts plz on what i could do better in terms of laptop or rig

i'd say a new rig as well. Custom builds can smoke out a laptop (hel the only reason i game on mine is cuz i don't have a desktop PC to game on) and from what i've seen, just looking for upgrades on my laptop, it is much easier to upgrade a rig then a laptop

laptop looks pretty good. and yeah moving a laptop around is easier, but from what i've heard gaming laptops don't have great battery life so you can move around but gotta be close by to a plug in to spend long times using it.

not really a problem with extended batteries nowadays as long as you dont mind the extra bulk
but also to game properly on a laptop you have to carry alot of extra stuff around I.E. mouse, headset etc etc.....plus your gonna need a cooling pad cuz thoses bitches get HOT!

indeed and depends on the laptop cooling, some don't benefit from cooling pads much if any at all. Plus the company some get hot and some get ungodly hot. Mine runs at times near 140 (basically is a thinkpad made for consumers)
