I've got two seagate freeagent desk's (1.5 and 1.0 TB). Both of them randomly lock. Power cycling them brings them right back. Of course their firmware update checker thing doesn't tell me the model of the drive inside them to know for certain if the firmware is what's needed for my drives. Sigh.
