FYI: Google probs

Subject: [Ticket#XXXXXXX] Packet Loss and latency to Google

Dear Valued Customer,
Since about 10:20a.m. CST we notice slow speeds and packet loss to sites on Googles network. (This includes google, gmail, youtube, etc).
We believe this issue is within Google's network and control. We have opened tickets with our upstream provider to report the issue. There is no ETA when this will be resolved. We will send additional notifications once we have more information about this issue.

man....I wonder if that's going to affect google's ad display network.....they'll lose millions a minute if that happens.

Your IT support definitely sucks.

But the infrastructure team, Network Services in particular.... had an 'infusion' of fresh blood about 18 months ago. They are still undoing all the years of hodgepodge, haphazard way of doing things that had been done for years before hand.

I'm trying to find someone on that team to see if they have an update for the Google issue, but the walls are dripping red in that building right now. Hatchets make interesting spray patterns. I'll post when they say there's been a resolution.

wait laggy works for Google? Thought Ewok did and you were at a hospital in Huston? I'm lost.

So would these google issues be what is making our site load slowly? because we are in a google network/system for our ads?
