Just got done re-installing the old GTOC 7900 video drivers, logging in on BF2 now to test it out!!!

Many moons ago, some of the nVidia chipsets had issues with their AGP slots and could only be fixed by BIOS updates, but I haven't heard of anything like that in ages... Sounds like you got a lemon of a video card...

I have seen (in dell machines) where 3rd party dual monitor video cards would not work without a bios update.

What's yall's opinion, is it better to RMA through the manufacturer (EVGA) or through newegg?

Never had to RMA through newegg. They may just refer you to EVGA. I RMA'd my 8800 GT with EVGA and it was a quick process. Only about 7 days from my applying for an RMA to the actual receipt of my replacement card.

I have a G15 keyboard that is RMAed through newegg, it has been 1 week and they have just now received it, don't know how long to get the replacement.

I would check and see if the card manufacturer offers a cross swap where you can use a credit card and have them pre-ship you a new card while you send them the defective one. Makes the exchange really fast. That is what WD does with their hard drives.

Well, I received an e-mail from EVGA giving me a tracking number to the GPU they are sending back to me. I should be receiving it on Monday. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My gaming life really sucks right now because now ALL of my games are shutting down to desktop. It does it more often in COD W@W like EVERY round before I can save to the last checkpoint so I end up playing the entire round all over again. So I held off from playing it because that was frustrating. Then I was playing CSS and I would be in the middle of the round running around and then the screen would freeze, then go to desktop as if the game was never running. Then BF2 started doing it, I'm running around and then....desktop. Frustrating. This can all be attributed to my current GPU right?

Well, I finally received my RMA'd GTX 260 yesterday and installed it last night. Works great and all of my graphical anomalies were gone, not to mention that none of my games froze on me nor did I get booted to desktop!!!

Next step, MORE RAM, only got 2 gigs right now....

Then maybe a sound card!!!
