    boot.ini help

    So here is my boot.ini

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOW S2
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS2="Micr osoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

    At load up, it asks which one to choose. I don't like it. From what I can tell they are exactly the same. But when I delete one the OS doesn't load all the way and keeps rebooting...

    Re: boot.ini help

    Change it to something like this:

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOW S
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
