Looking for some Antivirus suggestions
Seems my free trial of Norton has run out on my laptop and I am in the market for either renewal or some new. I've heard people say Norton is horrible so before I renew I wanted some opinions/suggestions. I haven't run into any problems so far with Norton but I have only had it a few months. I run PC-illin on my desktop and it seems well enough. I've checked McAfee and like their prices. What do you guys suggest?

just make sure you completely remove Norton before you switch. and no add or remove programs doesnt take care of it all.
Damn what a pain in the ass Norton is to me.. but at least it gives me job security from all the screwups it has

I run:
- freeavg for antivirus.
- spybot search and destroy - immumize only
- malwarebytes for malware..
- windows firewall (turn if on if it is off); unless you have a hardware firewall/router between you broadband connection and the PC.
Vista came with Windows Defender, but I have changed some of its setting to minimize disk i/o.
The most important thing you can do is read up on good web surfing habits and address any areas that affect you. That is really the key to prevent a lot of bad shit from happening.

I used to use AVG but they started slacking in the speed area when new viruses were coming out. Went to Avast, but I'm hearing good things about this avira, so I might take a look there as well.
