    future build

    I know I posted a while ago about a new PC...that was more of a dream machine than this, this is actually something I can achieve....very quickly.

    Blakeman spent his time helping me set this up...and it looks great.

    630$ for a PC that totally blows my 1000$ PC out of the water.

    Also, everything else you see that's missing, will be taken from my current PC, and placed on the new build.

    Well CPU type is generally supposed to match up with your GPU.

    Intel = Nvidia

    AMD = ATI

    I don't like ATI cards, I have only had one, and it's failed me...miserably.

    ATI recently has shown it's reliability. ATI has shown me that it's good. I think you can get more performance for your money.

    Trying not to sound like a dick here....buuuuut

    Just because they are reliable for you, doesn't mean they are for me....which they aren't.

    In PR, I went from having around a 30-40 FPS with an 8600 GT, down to a 15-20 FPS with a Radeon 4870

    How do you figure?

    ATI cards are great. So are nvidia. I've used both on many machines.
    Was running AMD CPU with nvidia vid cards, then tried the ATI 1950 for 6 months - loved it
    Now running Intel CPU with Nvidia 9800 GX2
    I've heard great things re- 4750

    Props to you if you can get amazing performance for 600 bucks.

    This is just what I have been told.

    And I hope you are being sarcastic about your last line, considering, that PC would be an amazing piece of machinery once it's completed.

    Nope, no sarcasm.

    If you can build a kick ass performance demon for less than a grand than props to you.

    Re: future build

    I have been crossing Video (ie Nvidia in an AMD) for years and never once had a problem. My only suggestion would be to rock the Phenom II 920
