It LOOKS like visiontek might not have lowered their prices yet on the 4870. The 4890 is pushing prices down considerably. It's also possible you are paying for better cooling on the visiontek. Sapphire is known for having some rather....... frugal stock cooling on their cards.

as much money I have poured into newegg and all the shit I have bought from them... They should send me a new rig.

I've built 5 or 6 rigs through them...prolly spent $6,000 when I factor in family and friends I've helped.

I have built 6 personal rigs from them over the years, dozen or so builds for other people, conservative 2k per build, you do the math. They did give me a free hat :P

$200 for i7 920 D0 CPU from either Fry's or Microcenter. This incredible deal should expire any DAY now.

$170 for MSI X58M mobo.

$60-80 for 6GB of good DDR3 RAM.

I have nothing against AMD as I have built AMD rigs in the past. But right now especially with these good deals that have been coming along, i7 is a no brainer.
