    Frustrated

I thought that my FPS problem would be fixed by re-installing all of my NVIDIA drivers and getting a new PSU.

It seemed to work Wednesday night but last night the 12 FPS monster came back. I will be playing at 250 FPS and then "BANG" down to 12. At the same time my ping goes from 5-10 to 30-40. Could this be a slowdown at my ISP? I have run speed testes and am always at 20 MBS.

I can't figure this damn thing out to save my life! My cooler is keeping the case under 60C at all times. Memory checks fine. New i7 and X58 MOBO working smooth.

Maybe tonight I will try a non-multiplayer game like BIOSHOCK and see if it runs smooth. That will probably be my next test. If that works fine maybe something happened with the install of TF2 adn I can wipe and re-install TF2.

Also in my BIOS screens my USB keyboard doesn't work I can plug in a PS/2 keyboard and it works fine! What gives?

    Will

Usually in your BIOS you can switch to allow USB keyboard, just use the PS/2 to get in there and switch it around. Forget where it is, just have a dig around.

Is there something that may run in the background that messes something up. I know I had that Desktop Earth thing that showed the planet with clouds and stuff (was posted in the Desktop Background thread) and every time that updated it would lag for a few seconds. Maybe run some diagnostics and see what takes a hit when this occurs, then we can pin down is it is a CPU or GPU problem. I know Rivatuner has good graphs for GPU, then just open task manager or something to check CPU.
