Re: Good comp & specs
I'm sure BD will be more than happy to advise you. With 2k you can get yourself a pretty intense rig.
I7 core cpu... 4870X2 x2... sky's the limit. Ok 2k is the limit... but you can get quite a bit of bang for those bux.
Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them. -- Bigdog

Cripple,
You can build a new i7 920 system that will rock for under $1500 including a 22" Monitor (If needed). I just built my system for under $1000 and it smokes.
RAIDMAX DIRK-TOOTH Case ($60)
i7 920 @ 3.2 GHZ ($199)
Patriot DDR 3 1600 MHZ Mem ($80)
Patriot Memory Fans ($15)
CoolerMaster 520 CPU Cooler (now running the OC CPU @ 57C) ($30)
Gigabyte X58 MOBO ($175)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD ($99)
LG Dual Layer DVD Burner ($26)
OCZ Modstream Pro 700W Watt PS ($50)
The above are with MIR...$734.. Add a GTX 260 or 4890 for $200 and you have a nice rig for under $1000.
