Re: Laptops
Sager is nice, especially if you want a gamer. But I recommend Asus as a close runner-up...they are more affordable and quite nice as well. Do you have a preferred price range and an idea of what you want it to be able to do? (office and browsing, 3d modeling and gaming, etc...)

A great site for reviews on all sorts of notebook PCs. They also have coupons for a few of the major players.

ASUS has terrible customer support. So if ANYTHING goes wrong with it, good luck. I have an HP dv5t, and I am happy with it. I have had it for almost a year and I have yet to have a single problem with it.
I use it for school mainly, but I have taken it with me traveling several times with no problems. I got the 9 cell battery so I can live through long airplane rides without losing power. I chose the extended battery, the 1920x1080 resolution screen, and the nVidia 9600 GS graphics. Even with the 9600 GS, it still makes a poor gaming PC, probably due to the high native resolution.
Not trying to push HP... especially one as out dated as mine, but HP makes a good notebook PC. I actually prefer it over my girlfriend's Dell Studio.

Now to be fair, I have never contacted Asus' support... But I have owned and assembled a large number of Asus based desktops and I have owned two Asus laptops; all of them are basically problem free and full of bells and whistles. Also, my Asus M51Sn has a 9500M GS GPU and runs all the games I have tried on it (BF2, 2142, Source games (CS:S, TF2, etc.), NWN2, and Civ 4 at full spec, and Oblivion at nearly full spec.
In any case, Death, how much are willing to spend, how much would you like to spend, and how portable do you want it?
You can get a 10+ pound 17" with SLI GPUs that will put most desktops to shame, or you can get a 6 pound 15" that plays just fine. Similarly you can spend 800+ or 4000+. Personally I like the 15" models in the 1300 range. Plenty of juice, but still quite portable and affordable.
