    Why does it require 7 for quad SLI? Is it to accomodate different sized cards?

    On the other hand, this allows you to put in two 295s in SLI and then a KillerNIC card, a high end sound card... and a... something else.

    id wager its for memory recognition, they likely didnt want to backwards compatible to vista, and took the next step up.

    Yea I just doubled checked and you can forget about adding a sound card or NIC card because there are no PCI slots only PCI-E.
