? I have the money for it, I'm just wondering if it's a good buy, has anyone used this headset? Or a similar one? Would you personally suggest for it or against it?"Murder and marriage aren't too much unlike each other, one ends your life, and the other is a crime"

They had a booth right next to TTP's at Quakecon. And damn if their headsets weren't some of the nicer I've seen and heard in a while.
I forget who bought one, but we all tried it out in the BYOC and loved them.

A little more expensive ($150) but damn were they nice...

fucken LOVE EM!
I thought they would be tight and make the tips of my ears sore (something ALL other headsets had done, even razer and bose) but they're actually VERY comfortable......
they're designed so most of the weight (and therefore pressure) is on the TOP of your each, with just a slight inwards pressure from each ear cup so they make a good, solid sound seal around each ear.
top notch quality, good inline controls.....only prob was the mic was a lil fuzzy at first, but it's since cleared up (was coming from razer barracuda's 5.1's, had to adjust options to switch over)
Oh, and the inline control box heats up a lil bit...nice to keep against your cold stomach ^_^

SteelSeries makes some great shit. Don't be swayed to jump to a different brand so quickly. Read some reviews about SteelSeries products. They make really great gaming headsets and mousepads.
You might be able to find them cheaper... not sure what the going rate on the SteelSeries is nowdays.

If the sound source is back/left of your guy, the speaker that plays the brunt of the sound is on your left ear, and slightly behind the ear....in the steel series, it only simulates the effect of the sound bouncing in your ear canal.
