    Windows 7 For Students

I know we have some students here, here it is. Microsoft is offering Windows 7 to students for 30 bucks. From what I read, it is supposed they are offering home edition or professional for $30, but I haven't seen that officially anywhere yet. I'm still waiting for the email. Check it out.

You can do fresh installs with upgrade, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS YOU NEED AN OLD WINDOWS DISK to verify you've owned windows in the past. Once they are installed they are exactly the same.
    Full version is useless.

ALSO NOTE IF YOU LOOK HARD ENOUGH ON THAT SITE YOU CAN GET PROFESSIONAL FOR 30$ TOO, NOT JUST HOME.

gonna ask my brother to get me professional, he just bought a new computer on saturday that came with 7 so he wont be needing an upgrade version. Why let a bargain go to waste? :10

    Re: Windows 7 For Students

now that i actually have a school e-mail (iirc), i'd be in on this but haven't been paying attention so got a quick questions:

I'd be going from 32 bit to 64 bit (like hell with 4gb of ram i'm sticking to 32 bit) which means a clean install. However i have no windows disk (pre-built laptop) SO, is it possible?
