converting MP3's
'Ey guys....my grandmother recently recieved a few CD's of square dancing music, and all the music is in mp3 format, but none of her CD players play MP3's.
She asked me if I could make them work in her regular CD players.....
What FREE MP3 converters do y'all recommend?

Re: converting MP3's
....
as I said, she recieved CD's with the music in mp3 format, not in the normal format used by CD players, which I believe is wma...
I need to take the CD's, rip em onto my computer, and re-burn them in a CD-stereo-friendly format.
WMP is outta the question....mickeysoft doesn't like my version of windows for some odd reason :2
if needed, my windows 7 install discs should be here in a few days and I can use WMP then to do it....but the sooner I get this done, the sooner my grandma will leave me alone, lol.

www.musicmatch.com
They use to have a good converter, not sure anymore but try the free version of the software and look around. Use to be able to click on File -> Convert and bam, done.

Even manages your ipod or whatever pocket mp3 player you're using.

Re: converting MP3's
most burning software has an option that says something like "burn tracks to Music CD - To be used in a CD player"
So rip the Mp3 into a folder on your PC, close out that project...open a new one and select the one that says to burn a music cd and it will convert them from mp3 and burn them at the same time.
A simple google search for "free mp3 to Music CD burner" turned up several pages of results.
