Gfx Problem?
Lately I have run into a number of different problems while playing TF2.
This is the first one, which results in my screen going black and and usually going to desktop and then me going back into TF2 np.
And then this one, which shows up red in my console and acts like a huge lag spike. I am not using wireless though, so I dont think it could be a lag spike.
Model '(null)' doesn't have attachment 'trail' to attach particle system 'rockettrail'
I run Vista 64-bit, with 4 gigs of ram, a Q6600, and a 8800 GTS. I have had this setup for about a year and a half and have had 0 problems until now. I will also add that my mobo doesn't have an on board gfx card.
So what do you guys think? Is there a way test if my card is actually shot, should I try a reformat or do I just need to bite the bullet and get a new card?

Re: Gfx Problem?
Its a video card issue, nothing to do with TF2
Start with opening up your PC and clearing out any dust and making sure the card and the power plug are all plugged into snuggley.
Then completely wipe the Graphics card drivers, you can use a driver clearer tool like Driver Cleaner Professional

Restart and reinstall.
If cleaning and reinstalling doesnt help you maybe looking at a dieing video card, and biting the bullet might be the only way to test it unless you have a spare card laying around or available maybe from a buddy.
