Thread: Gmail Issue In Chrome w/ W7x64

Im looking to see if anyone else has had this problem:

Gmail inbox loads fine, as do other pages (like label pages). When I try to open an e-mail, however, it takes ~30 sec, then opens the e-mail but displays this error:

I click "OK" to get out of the message, and I can read my e-mail just fine. After that, there are no problems - everything seems to load well, until the next time I open a Gmail window/tab.

Gmail works fine in Firefox so it's clearly a browser issue, rather than a network or account one.

I've seen a couple other people having this issue in the last few days or so. Myself included. Are you also using the version 4 beta as I and the others I've seen having the issue?

Other oddities I've noticed is that occasionally the keyboard flat out refuses to work in chrome. At all. Only restarting the browser fixes it. I've only seen this twice in the last week.

And TTP website (and almost exclusively TTP) crashes the browser (only that tab) a LOT. Hitting F5 fixes it but it gives you that "aw snap!" error.

Long story short... Yes. I've seen the problem.

Yeah, Im on the dev channel (v 4.0.266.0), so maybe thats why. I guess I'll just endure for a few more weeks in hopes that there's a fix coming.

For anyone else having this issue, I found the solution. Since there wasnt a fixed put out, I did a search again for the error and came up with this.

duddy99, can you try signing in to Gmail with labs disabled at http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0? If using this URL gives an error-free experience, could you list the labs you've enabled in your Settings to see if there is a lab that could be causing this issue? If http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 doesn't help, could you let me know if this problem happens on other browsers and computers?

Looking at other replies, there wasn't one specific feature that was giving issues. I went into Labs and disabled a handful (some I dont even use) and the error has gone away. Good luck!
