    New Motherboard?

I have recently made the move from Windows 7 RC x64 to Windows 7 Pro x64. I had some trouble with the RC freezing up on me from sleep, but not very often at all. Pro has been freezing on me quite a bit lately though. It is not going to sleep, but just turning off the monitor. When I get back on, the mouse will move, but the desktop is completely unresponsive. Best guess I have is that this is a motherboard issue. This is the motherboard I currently have (about 9 months old).

If this is in fact the most likely culprit, anybody have any recommendations for a new one.

Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you do a straight upgrade from RC to release? If so you should probably wipe and reinstall the release before buying new hardware.

I'd also turn off the power management stuff and verify that it does or does not lock up after doing that.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

No, it was a fresh install. I turned basically everything power saving off now, I'll see what happens. (I might just WANT an excuse for a new motherboard though. 8) It brings the options for so many other upgrades as well. :10)
