Hey folks I recently decided to purchase a used 8800 gtx card to sli with my other as a stopgap until my tax return comes in (got a good deal on it) however I realized that somehow the bag with all the cables for my modular power supply (tagan abs BZ800) has dissapeared.. the manufacturer doesn't have them for sale.. or at least that's the impression I obtained when the girl with the heavy accent who answered the line for customer service said she would need to contact an engineer about cables as customers service couldnt' help with that... does anyone here know of a place perhaps where I could order the cables? all the usual culprits like amazon, newegg, etc have come up dry and I'm left with this new card I can't make use of

Re: Power Supply Cable problem
I don't know if this helps:
http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g2/c...les-Page1.html
jab-tech.com is another one
svc.com
I've used all those before.
Frys carries cable retail, so does Microcenter.
Monoprice.com? (doubt it, for PSU cables)
Search for sites dedicated to hardcore building enthusiasts who like to customize everything, like the first 3 I mentioned. There are a lot more that I can't seem to remember now.

Those unfortunatley wouldn't work here's a link to the product page which will give you an idea of the connectors http://www.abs.com/app/bz800_details.asp

no success so far, if the cables can be found even in craigslist or anywhere I'm stumped if anyone happens to have one of these power supplies and has an extra cable or two I will gladly buy them from you because I don't want to have to buy a new PS to run an extra card *grimace*

Re: Power Supply Cable problem
I think you need to try harder with the manufacturer. Sounds like your best bet to me.

heh, they don't have them available the sales person when asked said we mostly just deal with buisness customers and they weren't setup for ordering with residential customers.. (on gamng p/s.. go figure) I'm clutching at straws I know but I figure it's my last hope vs buy a new PS

Re: Power Supply Cable problem
It's something with a proprietary connector that only Tagan makes for their modular PSU's. As I understand it.

Re: Power Supply Cable problem
Call them back and have them send you to someone in the warehouse. I'll bet you they have some somewhere they'd be willing to part with. And the guys in the warehouse would be the ones that would have a line on them.
And in the future don't go for the shiny led's and non standard cables.
Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them. -- Bigdog
