    Windows 7: Problem Steps Recorder

ok, this is one utility that I look forward to using once we start deploying Windows 7 around my workplace. The users can generate a small animated HTML file that shows the steps they are taking when a problem occurs.

Follow the link for pretty pictures and all the steps needed to use this.

That will be a huge help in all honestly. How many times has any IT person received the call from "Joe User" stating "I did something and then an error message appeared. I do not know what I did."

Simple, direct them to this tool, ask them to do exactly what they just did and voila.

we were showed a demo of this at w7 IT "the new efficiency" introduction. easy to get to windows key+r then type PSR.
it can make how to's easy also.

funny thing is windows vista home premium had PSR, but they stopped shipping it with the program for some reason. in addition to the PSR on early copies of vista was a resource light mode, or anti-aerro mode that looks surprisingly like W7.

HMM not sure that I like the "Win Key + R" as I use that to launch the Run box. I guess I'll have to see if I can change that in the registry.

heh, I think he means for you to call up the Run box.

at least that is how I did it, call the run box, type PSR, hit enter and away I go

I've been having customers use this for a couple of months and it's by far the best utility MS has shipped with windows since Notepad and Calc.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

That's not saying much because both Notepad and Calc suck.
