    New Build Problems

Ok.. So I got all my new stuff in and installed it.

I got everything plugged up and it turns on and runs fine.. EXCEPT, nothing is showing on my monitor.

CPU is running, HD is running, GPU fan is running, everything..

The BIOS and other shit doesn't even come up. The light on the monitor just blinks green and the screen stays black.

I currently have Windows 7 on my HD but it has all my other drivers and shit for my old Mobo, CPU, Graphics, etc... I was going to start it up, go into BIOS, and then change the boot priority to the CD drive so I could format my HD and reinstall Win 7. Except I can't see anything to get into BIOS to do that.

What the hell am I doing wrong. This is the 4th build I've done, and never came across this problem.

Have you reset your mobo by jumpers or the CMOS button?

Try it, refer to your manual for information on how to do it. Then let us know what happens.

Try taking out your memory and start it up. If you get a beep code fine, if not you got a CPU problem.

also try with 1 stick of ram in the #1 slot(it should be written on the mobo the slot orders.)(startup at this point) TEHN...(after trying one stick) And when placing the second ram put it in the #3 spot. the computer will be confused if the ram are asymmetrical (IE in slots 2 or 4 while an odd number slot is being used. not real tech lingo I just sound smarter this way)

If there are no numbers, #1 should be closest to the CPU and counting up consecutively.

Ok good, your CPU works. Now it could be a bad memory stick or something that i a little too advance for me. Call up ASUS about this problem and see their FAQ to see what they have for support. Or wait for somebody else to take over on this and give you a possible solution.
