Re: ATI HD5770 or less?
HD3870, but it may be the Q6600 Quad Core kicking butt too, heard this game really uses the CPU. However I imagine a better card would help anyway. Running DX9. Can't test 10 or 11 because I have XP, but there is a chart floating around that compares the FPS of each version. Not too sure on what FPS I get, but it runs smooth I was surprised, think you would be fine getting the 5770. May see some pricedrops anyway during the summer with nVidia bringing some mainstream DX11 cards on the market, but hey if its on clearance you may go ahead and get it.

Better deal than this? XFX 5770 1gb $170

Whether it's a good choice for you depends on the rest of your system. If you're running a low-end CPU and RAM, just upgrading the GPU might not make that much of a difference.
So ... what's your current CPU, RAM, and GPU?

Re: ATI HD5770 or less?
I am running medium (with resolution turned to 1280x1024) on SLI 8800 GTS 640's and an AMD 5600+ (2.8 Ghz Dual Core) with 4 gigs of RAM. Runs flawlessly, I may turn it up. These cards have plenty enough muscle for this game... and the SLI may allow me some eye candy. I will turn up my settings and report back later... but my 8800's appear to be rocking the house.

Re: ATI HD5770 or less?
Soy, my single 8800 struggles on Med settings, so there is your payoff for SLI, though I do push 1920x1200... lowering the resolution doesnt help all that much
Bust the 4870 you have is more than plenty card, dont get the 5770, its a slight upgrade, more of a side grade to get DX11 capabilities...

Re: ATI HD5770 or less?
Well this 4870 can barely run BC2 on low...so I need to upgrade.
