    This is my new setup:

So much screen space makes doing my work a lot easier.
Then when I am gaming, it is really easy to keep track of a lot of things and multi-task.

Yea... in this photo, TPG forums happened to be at front on 2 of the screens, and the TPG TS was on a third.... I like browsing TPG.

I love multitasking! I am down to only 2 monitors right now... my 19" and my 27" Dell Ultrasharp. My second 19" monitor needs to have some caps replaced. It is only a few dollar fix, but I am hella lazy. Maybe I will get to it next weekend.

I don't know how you can play anything across multiple monitors like that. The monitor edges would bug me too much. Personally, I need a seamless screen to do my gaming.

HeavyG has the sickest setup I've seen in a while.

GPU - XFX Radeon 6870 Crossfire
    Processor - i7 870
    Memory - 8G DDR3
    1T Harddrive

    Razer Deathadder
    23" Acer H233H Monitor
Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Sound speaker system
Keyboard that came with the computer
    Razer Carcharias Headset
    Oh, and the TPG mousepad

It's basically a Gateway FX6840-15e with a new GPU in it. I LOVE the case but some of the things with this CPU weren't worth it full price. However, the deal I got this together on was very much worth it.

I just saw HeavyG system and all I can say is WOW. HeavyG, man that is one hell of a setup. Especially, for water cooling man. Very nicely done. I'm jealous and wondering what you do, how you do it. Cause, there is some money there. Overall, that's a kick ass system.

    Respectfully,

Thanks! It has taken me a LOT of time, patience, and money. I invested weeks worth of planning and designing, reading reviews and how-to articles, budgeting, and most importantly budgeting what I can afford.

The initial water cooling investment was over $700, but has now approached the $1500 range if not higher. The good thing is that many of the components can be recycled for future builds. The philosophy behind my build is to take components that may not be the highest performing, and overclock the hell out of them to make them surpass even the top of the line components available. Prior to water cooling, things were just running too hot... especially the graphics cards (GTX 570s). Once I splashed water on them, I was able to get unbelievable overclocks with temps 20-30*C cooler than lower clocks on air.

I love the chase... pushing the components to the limit, increasing the clocks and voltage, and finding the breaking point between performance and stability. It all comes with some sacrifice as I am constantly tweeking and reconfiguring my water loop... adding radiators, fans, rerouting tubes... all in order to decrease temps and provide a good flow rate for the water.

I also require functionality from my rig... It has to run games at top notch performance at high resolution (2560x1440), be able to run as a Folding@Home machine during the day, and be able to perform the many ripping/encoding projects.

I just upgraded to a Sandy Bridge 2600K system. It was a nightmare of a build, and took me about 26 hours of actual building time (prior to Windows installation). It has stretched me far over my budget, and both physically and mentally exhausted. I will post up some pics soon.
