Not if you have the Razer Barracuda. There are 4 speakers in each headset. Front, Rear, Center, and Bass. They are a true 5.1 headset, and the difference is incredible.
Speakers are still probably better, but I like the convenience of a good headset.

Shit Bueller - Kiplish?
Can I get a low interest loan from you - friend to friend?
I also use creative 100%, they seem to be the only sets that don't crap out on me.
I have a 5.1 set now

It's been fantastic with My audigy X-Fi......but really chump compared to kiplish.....how loud do you have them set?
Maybe a lose wire or short circuit?

As bigdog said, wattage is not a big deal on computer speakers. You are simply too close and really not listening to them at a high volume level.
I have to disagree with him on home theatre unless you are running mini cubes or buying low end systems. My klipsch home theatre set up has a total of 4 6" drivers, 4 8" drivers, 1 12" sub and 7 titanium horns. The sub has its own power (300w) and I am pushing the rest with a Denon 3806 with my towers bi-amped. So I have a total of 1,140 available watts. The reason why I am convinced wattage is important is because I started out with my towers having just one channel connected (120w each) and they sounded fine. I then bi-amped them (240w each) and wow! what a difference. The base response is more true and the overall sound quality is more precise. Absolutely no distortion at any level. The bottom line is if you want it clear and loud then you need (clean) watts. Also don’t be fooled by these low end systems claiming 1000 watts. The way they do it is be reducing the impedance of the speaker thus resulting in more wattage, a louder sound and of course more distortion. I have been very involved in home theatre for many years now and feel like I have a pretty good grasp on it. If any of you ever want to discuss anything about it I am here.
