    Possible new build

I wont be overclocking anything... Hoping to be able to play Diablo III moderately high when that releases.

Thoughts? Opinions? Know of some better deals for similar items? Just kind of throwing together an initial idea right now. It'll be a week or so before I decide.

    Re: Possible new build

    For lazy people:

    Processor Core i7 930
    - Pretty stable on this choice.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115225

MOBO EVGA... Don't really care one way or another about this thing. Has decent reviews though.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188049

HDD/SSD - ~500gigs of storage on a standard junk drive in my current box for media plus 80gb Intel X25-M SSD for my primary drive.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820167023

    RAM 6gb Corsair DDR3 1600
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145286

Videocard EVGA GTX 460 - Solid new sub $200 videocard. Not definite on this yet.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130562

PSU Antec 620W - Should be plenty I'd imagine. I'm leaving everything stock.
    http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...Number=9684309

Case Antec 900 - I've heard good things. Can't recall ever seeing one though. This is really just here as a placeholder and I might grab whatever I can find a deal on that looks nice.

Anyone see a bottleneck with this machine?

Same price as the memory you have, but may run warmer. Would it make more sense to pick up a mobo with SATA 3 for 70 bucks more and buy a cheaper SSD, waiting for the latest SSD tech to come out later this year? Overall I like where you are going with it.

    Re: Possible new build

Intel gear I will get much cheaper than what is listed on Newegg so that isn't really an issue.

Thanks for the heads up on the RAM. I'll add that in to my wishlist.

you have the memory in twice, that drops your total to even less.

Switching out the 9-9-9 memory for the 7-8-7 that Gato suggested. One moment.

Adding in prices. If you see a better deal elsewhere, let me know. Prices from newegg unless otherwise specified.

    Re: Possible new build

Mobo seems excessive considering it is as expensive as the videocard... Any suggestions on something a bit less pricey?
