video card problem
Ok it started off with my computer freezing up and me restarting my computer. It boots up and my resolution and messed up and it seems like my video driver was never installed. Everything is skippy when i move it so i assume it is a video card problem. I tried updating my graphics driver and nothing. I go to my device manager and i see a yellow circle with a black exclamation mark on my display adapter which is a Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT. Help would be appreciated. Idk wtf to do

Re: video card problem
Sounds like you may have killed it man.
Have you downloaded the latest driver from Nvidia and installed it?
If so shutdown and pull the card. Look for any signs of distress(black marks, busted capacitors, etc.). If it is clean reinstall it and reboot. Try installing the driver again.

The 8800 and 9800 series cards had a known defect in them that was causing high rate of failure for thermal issues. Depending on who the manufacturer was (and if you registered it) you may be entitled to a warranty replacement. Also, there were known issues with one of the earlier driver revisions from nVidia that caused the fans to not operate properly and also fried a bunch of cards.
